Your Brand’s KLT Factor
Are you showing your personality throughout your brand?
Showing the person behind the company is a small business owner's privilege AND responsibility. It's the humanizing element that separates us from corporate life.
The KLT Factor is so key! Have you heard of it?
K: Your audience wants to Know you. Your story, your inspiration, your favorite color and rescue dog's name! Give your people a peek into your life in a way that aligns with your brand voice.
L: They need to Like you, or they will go elsewhere. Plain as that. What makes you relatable? What values do you share with your clients/customers? Where can you make emotional connections that make them feel understood?
T: Most importantly, to build brand loyalty, they need to TRUST you. Do you show up consistently? Exceed expectations? Make it right when you slip up? Trust is built over time (and uses the Know and Like factors as the foundation).
Think about your message. Think about your own personality and how you can communicate it through your branding and messaging.
As for me?
▫️High-waisted yoga pants with pockets (usually hiding a snack, let's be real) and just enough Mom-bod compression are my daily uniform.
▫️I drop F-bombs occasionally and "that's what she said"s frequently.
▫️I'm a fiercely-loving Mama Bear who is learning every. day. how to be a better guide for my feisty littles.
▫️Nothing brings me more professional joy and inspiration than to see creatives (whether they're my clients or not) invest in themselves energetically, financially and strategically. The world needs more of what we do!
This week, I encourage you to give your people an extra opportunity to connect with you. I promise it won't hurt 😉
