Works in Progress
I am a humble work in progress. And damn proud of it.
After 15+ years in the creative arts community, from editorial photography to teaching children's painting + ceramics to graphic + website design to growing a children's apparel brand, I *finally* feel like I've hit a stride.
All those years of trial + error (and error, and error...) have lead me to where I am now.
A proud Mentor Mama Bear and Creative Strategist, guiding fellow visual artists, makers, and designers to scale their brands in a sustainable way while prioritizing their creative freedom.
We are all at different points in our story.
And everyone's story looks different.
Boldly using your story to connect with + serve others is where the magic lies.
It humanizes you.
Because here's the deal:
⚡While I was building my apparel brand, sewing up a storm during the day?
I was bartending almost every night 'til 2am to make sure rent was paid.
⚡After the art school closed down?
I found myself on unemployment and food stamps.
⚡When I had a colicky newborn alongside a teething, potty-training toddler?
I fell into a dark postpartum depression but was ashamed to admit I needed help.
I didn't feed my creative soul for almost TWO YEARS and that. was. torture.
Those experiences and more have helped shape me, have given me grit and moxie that I couldn't have learned from a book.
Like I said: I am a proud work in progress.
Always will be 💛
