Take a Loving Inventory this Love Day.
Ah, Valentine’s Day. When we’re reminded to show our loved ones we care. That we are committed. That we are invested doing the work to contribute to the positive growth of the relationship.
How often do you do the same for yourself? (Real talk: I don’t do it nearly often enough.)
Today, press pause and take a loving inventory of everything that makes you YOU. Gloriously imperfect work-in-progress you. Renew your commitment to uplifting self-talk, unapologetic Me Time (looking at you, fellow Mama Bears), and making time for play. Show yourself that you’re invested in doing the work to contribute to YOUR OWN positive growth.
Today, I can honestly say I LOVE that:
I’m making an honest effort to cook + bake new things (usually with my toddler!) with each new kitchen adventure going further out of my comfort zone (that zone usually involving Spam).
I have done the sometimes excruciating, sometimes empowering work of journaling about my sexual assault and trusting others with my story — And providing a safe, supportive space for theirs.
I don’t apologize for the human I have become. She’s been through a lot to proudly say she’s dope. Full stop.
What are 3 things you are willing to boldly declare that you LOVE about the person you are today?
